In March 2023, we opened our Montessori primary school providing education for children aged 6-12.
We are registered with Independent Schools Scotland and were inspected by HMI and Education Scotland in December 2023, receiving a grade of Very Good in the areas of Learning, Teaching and Assessment ; and Curriculum. Children have the opportunity to explore inspiring tangible Montessori materials in a peaceful classroom setting, giving them the chance to ask questions, make connections, problem solve and develop important critical thinking skills. The Montessori method is respected globally for promoting individually paced learning, fostering independence and encouraging empathy and a joy in lifelong learning. Our timetable integrates outdoor and sustainable art education, Spanish language learning and physical exercise, as well as nature school activities. All sessions are facilitated by specialist educators and approached in a cross-curriculum manner.
