Welcome !
I am so proud to find myself as the owner, teacher and principal of The Montessori Nursery and Primary School. Integrity is at the centre of all we do here and that is why we continue to flourish and grow ever since opening our doors over 34 years ago. Notwithstanding the challenges of these last few years, I am very excited that due to demand, we are now delivering a Montessori education for children aged 6-12 years.
Montessori is a truly amazing method and approach and our small size and family- friendly reputation offers our children an outstanding start. This has been recognised by the Care Inspectorate with ratings of Very Good in all four areas of Nursery inspection, and HMI Inspectors with ratings of Very Good in Learning, Teaching and Assessment as well as our Curriculum at the School.
In our beautiful indoor/outdoor settings, our highly trained teachers focus on unlocking every child’s natural curiosity in the world around them, and developing happy, self-motivated learners. We are able to guide our children at their own pace, encouraging interpersonal skills, well-being and creativity, as well as successful academic learning. We focus on kindness, inclusivity and cultural awareness, and our children emerge as confident and resilient individuals, content in themselves, and ready to discover more.
By also spending time working with the children, I provide a unique but very welcome experience for families who feel reassured that their principal truly knows their child when liaising with them.
